I bought the material on sale from fabric.com, which is a great website offering all kinds of interesting prints and textures that you just can't find at the neighborhood fabric store. In thinking of my own childhood, I was reminded of "The Electric Company" and a favorite three-ring-binder with bright Peter Max print on the cover and ordered some without giving it a second thought.
While shopping for fabric and trim is one of the in-person commerce experiences I enjoy and appreciate, online shopping has been fruitful and pleasant. All three purchases I've made from fabric.com have met or exceeded my expectations, so if you're in the market for project materials and want something unusual, don't be afraid to venture out onto the internet. I've also had nice experiences ordering from Mood. If you aren't sure about something, order a swatch and see for yourself.
