Wow, what a great weekend... Now that the only time Jack and I really have together is on the weekend, I can't fathom one NOT being great.
I think I've now washed everything in the house. Yesterday I did our curtains, and they look completely different now. I'll probably do a couple more loads before bedtime to get absolutely everything caught up before starting the week. This new washer/dryer is great - after weeks of doing laundry off-site, having to lug our baskets to the basement and back doesn't seem to be such an inconvenience anymore.
I got a lot of other cleaning done, so after another couple of weeks' worth of these weekend efforts, we should have the house ready for company. That's especially great considering that our yard is getting ready to be at its best for the year.
We have so many early spring bloomers -- really cool stuff that we've collected everywhere. Some was here to start with, some we've purchased online and at flea markets and some are rescue plants from areas that are getting ready to be cleared and developed. A few years ago we found all kinds of bulbs on sale for 75% off at one of the big home improvement stores and went wild...

We played tennis today, indoors at the Civic Center in McMinnville. We ran out of time before the match was over and stopped playing at dead-even with Riche and Dustin. Jack and I were both playing OK and holding our own, but it's obvious that we haven't been playing with the regularity we were back in the summer. Dustin's game has improved a lot, so now it's more difficult to beat him and Riche. We were ready to finsh them off, but Coach Dunlap showed up with a chick for a lesson, and we had to stop. Victory was in the air but not to be ours today...
Nashville beckons in the morning -- hopefully traffic won't be hell-on-a-strip-of-blacktop like it is some Mondays... I generally leave between 7:30 and 8:00 and miss most of the worst of the worst of rush hour by the time I roll into Nashville. Days without school and federal holidays are my favorites - I can go in at a decently early time without dealing with those traffic nut-cases.
I hope everyone's had a nice weekend --
Until I post again... Pam
